I will dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
